Older Tech May Be Better At Thwarting The Man…

You know, we really got duped by groups like Dropbox etc.  Sure they made file syncing and sharing simpler, but hell, running an FTP really wasn’t very hard to do.  In fact it was/is so easy, even if you needed to rent an FTP server rather than build your own, that almost anyone could do it (which keeps prices cheap).  So many people could do it in fact, that it would be next to impossible for the feds to data mine, or get access to tons of data all at once the way they backdoor things now with Prism, simply because there are too many providers.  If they really wanted to investigate you, they could figure out where you are sending and receiving files from, but that would take them actually targeting you for a reason.  Of course folks say if you don’t do anything wrong you have nothing to hide, but that is bullshit.  Data mining, even the innocent, is dangerous because it allows them to predict trends with frightening accuracy, and then create propaganda and false flag campaigns to get the population to move and react in a specific manner that they choose.  We are after all a non-thinking, emotionally reactive, majority in this country (this author one of the exceptions of course).  A few simple changes to how we compute and many of the tricks they use to do their predictive analysis data mining would come to a grinding halt or be so damn cumbersome that it would be ineffective.  In light of where we are currently, with the ease of data mining, lack of privacy, and utter technological ignorance, the conspiracy minded might start thinking that the Big Data Pimps ( I’m trade marking that btw) were a purposeful creation of NSA/CIA start up capital for this end.

Consider the pain in the ass of trying to crack encryption for 500,000 zip files from 500,000 different providers of which they would first have to identify and get warrants for, versus getting one encryption back door from Dropbox or other BDP’s and decrypting 500,000 files on the fly…

It doesn’t take a computer tech to figure out which is harder, and which is more effective at keeping The Man out of your business and the Big Data Pimps from whoring you out to whom ever pays for their chrome rimmed Bentley.
